How the online AI master works
AI2's online format is built on synchronous e-learning: you follow the same cohort, instructors and projects as on campus, from your computer. Content and degree are identical to the on-campus format.
Live classes
Classes take place live with instructors in a virtual classroom: you ask questions, code alongside them and interact with your cohort. It is not a catalogue of pre-recorded videos.
Replays of every session
Every session is recorded. Review a difficult part, catch up on a class missed for work, or follow from another time zone.
Projects and hands-on work
Real team projects and hands-on work on cloud and GPU platforms: computation runs online, so you don't need a powerful machine. Included access to DataCamp, IBM SkillsBuild, Kaggle, Hugging Face, GitHub Student Pack and Google Colab.
Individual mentoring
Individual follow-up complements the classes: regular check-ins on your projects, progress and career direction, with the same supervision as in Paris.
Remote defenses
Projects, the applied research thesis and the M2 company project are defended by video conference before a jury, under the same assessment conditions as on campus.
Same RNCP 7 degree
The title awarded is the same as on the Paris campus: RNCP level 7, registered by France Compétences. The degree does not mention the study mode.

International students
A French RNCP 7 title, with no visa or Campus France
The Campus France “Études en France” procedure and the student visa only apply to students attending classes on the Paris campus. With the online AI Master, there is no visa to apply for, no relocation to organize and no Paris cost of living to fund: you study from your country and earn the same title as campus students.
Admission is entirely online (application, technical test, video interview, answer within 48h). Replays make it easier to follow from another time zone. Note: work-study requires a contract with a company in France; from abroad, the Master is taken as a standard programme.

Does the online AI Master deliver the same degree as on campus?
Yes, strictly the same: the RNCP level 7 title registered by France Compétences and recognized by the French state. The degree does not mention the study mode — only your skills and projects matter.
How do online classes work?

Which specializations are available online?
All 4 M2 tracks: Data Scientist, AI Engineering, Data Engineer and Data Analyst. M1 builds the common core (machine learning, data engineering, generative AI) before specialization. The Fast Track M2 Data Scientist (10 months, EUR 10,000) is also available 100% online.
Can I take the online AI Master as work-study?
Yes, if you live in France: you sign a contract with a company and attend live classes online, with a 3-weeks-company / 1-week-classes rhythm. The full M2 can be taken as work-study, possible from the end of M1. Tuition is funded by the company's OPCO (EUR 0 for you) and you earn a salary.
Is the online AI Master a data science master?
Yes: M1 covers statistics, machine learning, deep learning and generative AI, and the M2 Data Scientist track is a data science master. The Data Engineer, Data Analyst and AI Engineering tracks are also available online.
What are the prerequisites for the online AI Master?
Same as in Paris: a 3-year degree for M1 entry, a 4-year degree with programming and statistics basics for direct M2 entry. Admission is entirely online: application, technical test and video interview, answer within 48h.
