How much does an AI school cost in France?
Private AI schools cost EUR 7,000-12,000 per year depending on level. At AI2: Bachelor EUR 7,000/yr, Master EUR 8,000-9,000/yr, Fast Track M2 Data Scientist EUR 10,000 for 10 months. The game-changer is work-study: the company pays tuition and the student pays nothing — and earns a salary.
How to study AI for free?
Work-study is the royal road: EUR 0 tuition plus a monthly salary of EUR 800-1,800. At AI2 it is available from Bachelor year 3 and throughout the Master, with dedicated support to find a host company. CPF-eligible trainings are listed on Mon Compte Formation; a mandatory co-payment may apply.
Can the CPF fund AI training?
Yes, for the certified courses listed on Mon Compte Formation (RNCP39978 title: Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Industrial AI Engineer…), within your CPF rights. 1-2 day short courses (ChatGPT, Copilot, AI by profession) are usually funded by the employer's OPCO. Long degrees (Bachelor/Master) are usually funded via work-study instead.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes. AI2 offers fee-free monthly installments over the school year. France Travail solutions exist for job seekers, and OPCO funding for employees retraining.
Is a student loan necessary?
Not necessarily: work-study (EUR 0) avoids any borrowing. For those in the initial track, banks offer preferential-rate student loans repayable after graduation — with market starting salaries of EUR 38-70k for these roles (APEC, Hays 2026), the ROI is fast.
